Lot consists of three Japanese Type 99 bolt action rifles. (A) Series 24 Type 99 manufactured by Kokura. Chrysanthemum is partially ground. Bolt matches the receiver, aside from the safety knob, which is mismatched. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their arsenal applied finish, with the balance turning a grey patina. Bore is bright and retains good rifling throughout. Stock shows some scattered handling marks (B) Series 23 Type 99 manufactured by Kokura. Chrysanthemum has been scrubbed. Front band and bolt match the receiver aside from the firing pin, which is unnumbered. Stock has been painted in brown paint. Rear anti-aircraft sight retains it's wings. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their arsenal applied finish, showing some wear, thinning, corrosion, and light rust all around. Bright bore with good rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered handling marks and wear to applied paint. (B) Series 35 Type 99 long rifle manufactured by Toyo Kogyo. Chrysanthemum has been scrubbed. No matching numbers. Complete with early style rear anti-aircraft sights with wings. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal applied finish, showing some areas of wear and areas of light rust and corrosion. Bright bore with good rifling throughout. Stock shows handling and storage marks all around.
