[London: 1751?]-1767-1771. 5 vols., 2 o. Text in English and French. 5 engraved titles, 4 engraved dedications, 389 engraved plates (views, plans, elevations) after Campbell, Woolfe, Chambers, Gandon and others including 100 double-page and one folding, (some scattered light foxing). Contemporary calf (rebacked, a few spine labels missing, light wear to edges). First editions of supplementary vols. IV and V. The first three vols. by Campbell appeared 1715-25. The assumed 1751 date for the above reprint is derived from an announcement in the General Advertiser for 14-17 January: "This Day is Published, In Three Volumes, Folio, Vitruvius Britannicus...".
