Cazzie Russell 1967-68 New York Knicks Home Uniform Cazzie Russell ushered in a new era in Michigan basketball. During his college career at the University of Michigan, he led the Wolverines to three consecutive Big Ten Conference titles (1964-66) and to Final Four appearances in 1964 and 1965. At 6-6, 218 pounds and possessed of great hands and a fine shooting touch, Russell could play any position on the court. Michigan's Chrysler Arena, which opened in 1967, has been dubbed "The House that Cazzie Built". Cazzie was picked No. 1 in the NBA by the New York Knicks and played twelve seasons with Knicks, San Francisco Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls. Russell is best remembered for his five seasons with the New York Knicks (1966-71) where he was an integral part of the famous 1970 Knicks team that won the NBA championship over the Los Angeles Lakers. Cazzie's 1967-68 New York Knicks home jersey includes the "MacGregor" label on the left tail with an adjacent wash tag. All lettering and numbers are stitched in blue on orange tackle twill. In the waistband of the accompanying trunks is the "MacGregor" label with the size "38." On the front left leg are the initials "NY" in blue tackle twill. The uniform shows excellent game use. LOAs from MEARS (A9.5) and Grey Flannel.
