Château Cheval-Blanc--Millésime/Vintage 1988 Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A) Etiquettes légèrement poussiéreuses. Niveaux dans le goulot Slightly dusty labels. Levels into neck Note de dégustation:...D'une profondeur impressionnante; un nez austère quoiqu'acidulé, avec un soupçon de vanille et de tabac; doux bien que tannique, rafraichissant, harmonieux. Plus récemment, une couleur moins profonde, et exprimant une certaine maturité... Des goûts de tabac. Avant tout un vin suave et charmant. Juillet 1998 ***(*) maintenant-2015, possible au-delà Tasting Note:...Impressively deep; hard nose though sweet, with a hint of vanilla and tobacco; soft yet tannic, refreshing, harmonious. More recently, much less deep in colour, and showing some maturity... Tobacco like taste... But overall a sweet and lovely wine. July 1998 ***(*) now-2015, possibly longer.
