Magnificent glossy fruit and voluptuous glycerol. Spicy elements, deep black fruit and pure Lafite scent and nobility all through. Ends on the fresh note that all young top Claret should have. A bullseye. My top Left Bank wine of the vintage. At 11 years old, this is still my opinion. Spicy breed all the way through, with a touch of raspberries. Really tempting black fruit too and a lovely juicy finish. SS. When serving Lafite, decant it well in advance of drinking as its bouquet amplifies to multi-faceted dimensions on contact with the air. Lafite has great, sustained power under all the breed and scent - vinous nobility.
