Chefoo Covers 1893 (11 Dec.) large commercial envelope registered to Shanghai bearing 1c., 2c. and 5c. tied by the Local Post dated oval struck in purple with a good strike of the straight-line "Registered" alongside with manuscript number "No 178" and, on the reverse, further dated oval, Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (13.12) and "ANZ & Co" handstamp. There is some peripheral wrinkling, typical of these large envelopes. An important triple rate, registered cover and a three-colour franking.
