A few minor defects or restorations, but most overall fine (especially for this class of books), probably from the collection of Moses Polock, the uncle of Dr. Rosenbach; these reputedly came from Dr. R. Sold with an inscribed copy of Rosenbach's Early American Children's Books, 1933, the collection includes The Uncle's Present, a New Battledore, [1810], with its wonderful engravings of street cries [Welch 1363; Rosenbach 428; AI 21546]; The American Primer, or an Easy Introduction to Spelling and Reading, 1813, printed by Mathew Carey [Rosenbach 468]; Think Before You Speak, 1810 [Welch 297.1; Rosenbach 438]; The Search after Happiness, 1811 [Rosenbach 442]; The Council of Dogs.
