Nelson, circa 1866, full-page colour illustrations, some toning, original pictorial wrappers, contained in contemporary book post wrapper with penny red postage stamp (and the remains of another), torn and spotted, and with some spots of sealing wax on rear, addressed in contemporary manuscript 'Miss Howard McLean, Carfin House, Motherwell, Lanarkshire' and below 'Per Book Post', together with The Comic Adventures of Old Mother Hubbard, and Her Dog, J. Harris 1821, and Mamma's Tales, by Madame Leinstein, A.K. Newman, circa 1830, both with hand-coloured engravings, in original printed wrappers (worn, latter bound upside-down), plus Aunt Mary's Tales, for the Entertainment and Improvement of Little Girls, 5th edition, Darton, Harvey, and Darton, 1819, engraved frontispiece, contemporary half roan Rare early 'home-made' postage wrapper; later wrappers, which could be purchased, were printed "book post".
