Chinese Green Overlay Caramel Glass Snuff Bottle Qing Dynasty The flattened ovoid form raised on a low oval footrim, carved on both sides through the spinach green layer to the opaque caramel ground with a pair of stylized dragon and phoenix in the form of a shou character, all between two mock mask ring handles at the shoulders; Together with a Chinese Turquoise Green Overlay Glass Snuff Bottle. 18th/19th Century. The tapered high shouldered form carved through the semi-translucent turquoise green layer to the opaque coffee ground on each side with a sinuous chilong, the tail of one forming the short footrim, all between mask and ring handles.
