"Thank you so much for your Christmas Greetings which have given me much pleasure." Volume 2: "To Denis Wright from Winston S. Churchill November 1956." Also with autograph note signed ("Winston S. Churchill"), loosely inserted, n.d. "With all good wishes." 1p., 8vo, 28 Hyde Park stationery. Volume 3: "To Denis Wright from Winston S. Churchill." Also with autograph note signed ("Winston S. Churchill"), loosely inserted, n.d. : "With all good wishes." 1p., 8vo. Volume 4: "Dennis Wright from Winston S. Churchill April 1958." Also with autograph note signed ("Winston S. Churchill"), loosely inserted, n.d. "With all good wishes." 1p., 8vo. A fine set of Churchill's last book, presented to a distinguished British diplomat who served effectively for many years in Iran and Ethiopia. In 1979 he was called out of retirement to give the Shah the unwelcome news that British asylum or support would not be forthcoming.
