With a loosely inserted autograph note from Churchill's secretary, Lettice Marston, to Katie, 25 May 1956: "Sir Winston thought your book was so nice, & wasn't sure that he'd seen it properly before, so he had it in his room to read it from cover to cover!!" A remarkable photographic retrospective of Churchill's long and active life, with images from his childhood and young manhood as a subaltern in India, to his wartime meetings with Stalin and FDR and postwar career as Prime Minister and elder statesman.
