FIRST EDITIONS, EACH VOLUME INSCRIBED AND SIGNED ON FLYLEAF TO HIS ELDEST DAUGHTER DIANA CHURCHILL (1909-1963): v.1 "Diana from Papa 4 March 1956"; v.2 "To Diana from her Father Winston S. Churchill 1956"; v.3 "Diana from Winston S. Churchill October 1957"; v.4 "To Diana from her loving Father Winston S. Churchill March 1958." A set of warm inscriptions to his troubled eldest daughter. After a brief early marriage and wartime service in the WRENS, Diana married Tory M.P. Duncan Sandys in 1945 and the couple had three children before divorcing in 1960.
