[ca. 1941]. 7 7/8 x 10in. photograph, on a mount measuring 12 x 15½in., signed along mount (edges of mount chipped, small scuff on photograph) . Signed by each man alongside his image. CHURCHILL AND SEVEN OF HIS KEY MILITARY, DIPLOMATIC AND SCIENTIFIC AIDES, EN ROUTE TO MEET FDR IN 1941. Although the photograph is undated, this group corresponds with the contingent Churchill brought with him to the secret Acadia Conference with FDR in August 1941. Churchill in uniform sits, front and center, holding a cigar, flanked by C. P. Dill and Sir Alexander Cadogan on his left, Adm. Dudley Pound and Air Marshal Wilfred Freeman are to his right. Standing behind him are Adm. C. R. Thompson Lord Cherwell, and J. M. Martin.
