Guerin 1740-42. 9 volumes, 4°, engraved frontispiece by Soubeyran, woodcut initials and headpieces, good wide margins (lightly spotted, stronger to a few gatherings), mid-19th century French morocco gilt in the 'romantique' style, 7 gilt fillets on borders, raised bands, spines divided in six compartments, framed with gilt fillets and titled in gilt, morocco doublures, elaborately panelled in gilt with interlacing strapwork bands, enclosed by a border of two fillets (very light rubbing along a few joints), gilt and marbled edges, bookplate of Paul Marissuax.
