(upper centre) and 'When running up the Anchorage of Cagliari in chace [ sic ] of a Brig 2 Guns more than the Speedy. The point (a). N.6 E. about 5 miles - (b) The Town half open about 10 miles distant' (middle centre) ( recto ); the second inscribed ''View of a Small Group of Islands about 13 Leagues to the Westw.d of Naples Bay/a the Western one N.30• W.b N 72• E.t off which about 8 Miles steering SW for Iscia (upper centre) and 'Mount Vesuvius from the Anchorage in the Bay of Naples a is the new corderie' (middle centre) ( verso ) pencil, pen and black ink and watercolour, on paper, in one frame 9 x 25 in. (22.8 x 63.5 cm.)
