The Stonewall Jackson Medal. 2 in. dia., white metal, a profile bust of Jackson on obverse, list of battles on reverse, encircled by banners, sheaves of wheat and military paraphernalia with motto "Deo Vindici", imprint "Massonney Edition." This commemorative coin was struck in France and sold to the Confederacy in 1863 and 1864. It has been estimated that only 500 of the Jackson medals were struck. -- SOUTHERN CROSS OF HONOR.
