Contemporary album of clipped photographs and prints of Civil War figures, including Lincoln, Grant and a tin-type of a Confederate soldier.
Album contains approximately 43 pictures, either clipped photographs from cartes-de-visites or prints. Many back-stamped "N.P. Noyes, Dubuque, Iowa." Original red album. Condition: thumbsoiling and wear; binding with spine perished, lacking one clasp, edgewear. Provenance: Samuel H. Brown (note to pastedown). Includes Lincoln (photograph), Butler, Faragut, Burnside, McDowell, Mead, Dix, McClellan, Grant, Banks, Hooker, Elmer Elsworth, the album ends with several pictures presumed to be the compiler's family.
