Abbot's name signed at the bottom (Chief of Engineers). 9¾x8". Volkmar served with the 33rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry in 1863; later was part of the 5th U.S. Cavalry; worked for Gen. Sheridan from 1881-85; and died on March 4, 1901. Lot Amendments Condition: Old folds, slight darkening, other occasional light wear; very good. Item number: 165469
