Lot of approx. 80 circus-related broadsides, programs, route books, newspapers, and more. Highlights include: The Daily Amusement. New York: Thomas Bartow, February 22, 1864. Newspaper, 4pp, 9.5 x 11.5 in. A newspaper promoting featured acts at Barnum's Museum. Trimmed along top edge so title of newspaper is almost completely missing. The Daily Chronicle. New London, CT: Daniels & Gardner, June 23, 1851. Newspaper, 4pp, 12.5 x 17.5 in. Interior page includes two columns advertising P.T. Barnum's Museum and Menagerie, and features illustrations, including Tom Thumb, Mr. Nellis - the man without arms, an animal act, and more. P.T. Barnum's Great Roman Hippodrome. Boston, MA: August 3, 1874. Programme, 4pp, 12 x 18.75 in. Front cover features 5.25 x 8.5 in. engraved view of the Hippodrome.
