Collection of items concerning acts of sabotage against the British, 1946-1948. 1-2. Two large photographs of a British train which, due to an act of sabotage by Etzel, went off the railway tracks, and 35,000 pounds were stolen – money that had to be paid as salaries to Mandate government officials. This operation which took place on January 12, 1946, was known as the "Robbery of the Money Train". Reproductions (press photographs?), with enclosed description. 3. Palestine Pamphlet – Terrorist Methods with Mines and Booby Traps, 1946. A booklet published by the chief engineer of the British Army headquarters. Classified "Restricted", and includes list of all the mines in use by Jewish underground organizations in Palestine, and photographs from scenes where the mines were used. 4-6. Three maps drawn by hand by a British Army unit, with a plan of guarding a British compound (Ras el Ein), and plans for a road block near Lod from 1947-1948. Size and condition vary. Overall good condition.
