Laviosa of New York with their studio stamp of Gaetano Merola (1881-1953), dynamic founder of this opera company, warmly inscribed below the photograph on the mount to Kenneth Monteagle and his wife Lucille in 1946 in "...remembrance of our pleasant association with appreciation and friendship..."; with a group of 15 framed black and white professional press photographs by various studios, inscribed by each opera star to Monteagle, including: George Cehanovsky, Paul Breisach, Pietro Cimara, Charles Kullman, Giuseppe Valdengo, Herta Glaz, Florence Quartararo, Sara Menkes, Set Svanholm, Kurt Baum and others; with 2 similar additional press photographs, unsigned and unidentified; and 8 older large format studio portraits, perhaps of Mrs. Monteagle and of herself and admirers, with one being a colorized print from Iral Hills Studio 5th Ave. New York; Kenneth Monteagle (1891-1973) was a member of a prominent San Francisco family and former president of both the San Francisco Opera Association and the Symphony Association.
