Collins (John). Geometricall Dyalling: Or, Dyalling performed by a line of chords onely, or by the plain scale. Wherein is contained two several methods of inscribing the hour-lines in all plains, with substile, stile and meridian, in their proper coasts and quantities; bing a full explication and demonstration of divers difficulties in the works of learned Mr Samuel Foster, deceased, late professor of astronomy in Gresham College; also a collection of divers things from the works of Clavius and others, 1st edition, Thomas Johnson for Francis Cossinet, 1659, engraved frontispiece, 20 engraved plates, woodcut illustrations in text, a little light spotting and soiling, bookplate, contemporary calf, rubbed with some stains and small wormtracks, small 4to (Qty: 1) Wing C5373. A technical manual of practical trigonometry without the use of a quadrant, with the high quality plates engraved by Henry Sutton, one ot the best instrument makers of the period.
