Factory Colt letter information - [Page 1] Serial number: 18-35 Sheriff, Gold Inlaid Caliber: .45 Long Colt Barrel Length: 3 1/2" Finish: Royal Blue with gold plated, backstrap, trigger guard, and base pin. Type of stocks: Fleur-de-lis checkered ivory Factory engraved: Yes, see remarks section for details Engraver's name: Colt Master Engraver, Howard Dove Presentation Case: Walnut featuring roll-top desk design. Fitted inside the case is a sheriff's badge. Shipped to: Ellett Brothers Inc. Columbia Avenue / Chapin, South Carolina Date of shipment: March 29, 1982 Colt Custom Shop Order: #1842 Remarks: The above described custom edition firearm is embellished with Class "A+" custom scroll engraving and the following gold inlays: -A raised gold inlaid 6-point sheriff's badge with the inscription "Sheriff" on the recoil shield. -A raised gold inlay depicting antique handcuffs is on the loading gate. [Page 2] -The left side of the frame features a flush gold inlaid rampant colt, and the right side bears the inscription "1 of 35". -Both sides of the frame are enhanced with a gold-bordered diamond with checkered pattern. -The frame and hammer are accented with gold inlaid borders. -One wide gold inlaid band decorates the rear of the cylinder, and the cylinder flutes are highlighted with a fleur-de-lis border. -The model designation "Colt Sheriff's Model .45" is inlaid in gold on the left side of the barrel and is further enhanced with a fleur-de-lis border. -A scalloped gold inlaid band with gold dot accents decorates the muzzle end of the barrel. Condition: This gun is new in the original roll top walnut display case. There is no key present and the sheriff's badge which should be in the case is missing.
