cover 10c Green type III (15), horizontal strip of three, clear to large margins except slightly in at bottom right, used with 12c Black (17), large margins to barely in at bottom left, all tied by bold "Galva, Ill. Jun 17" c.d.s. cancels on fresh 1857 pale buff cover to Hudiksvall, Sweden, ms. "Via Prussian Closed Mail", red "19" credit h.s. (to Germany), Helsingborg arrival c.d.s. or transit on front, red boxed "Aachen 8/7 Franco" h.s., three different Hamburg backstamps incl. Royal Danish & Royal Swedish Postal Agency-Hamburg backstamps, surprisingly there is no U.S. exchange office h.s present on this cover, but it had to pass through one to arrive in Sweden, believed to have been carried by the Cunard Line packet Canada , this cover paid the 42c rate to Sweden via Prussian Closed Mail, very fine , with 1983 P.F. certificate which notes that the stamps have been lifted and replaced from where they originated, a remarkably choice cover to a very scarce destination, worthy of the very finest collection photo
