Dr. Philip, Cape Town" , showing Crowned "GENERAL POST OFFICE/CAPE OF GOOD HOPE" d.s. (16.8) and, on reverse across join, red "INDIA LETTER/PORTSMOUTH" and arrival c.d.s. (26.10); the entire with fold and a little damaged but of great historical interest. Accompanying the letter is a rust spotted coloured print by George Baxter published in 1849, of the Mission premises at the Kuruman Station
