1. 7 Autograph Letters Signed and 2 Typed Letters Signed ("Noel"), 14 pp, 4to, 8vo, and 12mo, various placed including New York, Brazil, London, and Switzerland, January 17, 1934 to July 26, 1961, to various correspondents including Gertrude Lawrence, George Cukor, and Alan Vincent, on various letterheads, some toning throughout. 2. 2 Photographs Signed ("Noel Coward"), 8 by 10 inch silver prints, one of Coward with Cecil Beaton, Tammy Grimes, Roddy McDowell, some wear at edges. An amusing collection of correspondence, including early letters to his frequent co-star Gertrude Lawrence and this waspish letter to screenwriter Allen Vincent regarding his most recent play: "I have based the character that Margalo Gillmore plays on you. Not outwardly, oh no, I am far too clever for that—she plays a well-bred Bostonian which you could never be. But character-wise I have held a mirror up to you, which no one has ever before dared to do, and the part emerges as an absolute BITCH." See illustration.
