Crèveceour kept careful notes and collected various materials which constituted the raw materials for his books. Numerous notes on the United States with state population figures for 1790 and 1810, details on the cotton industry and American ships.-- Autograph notes on the last page of a French Government pamphlet, "Memoire aux Consuls de la Republique Francaise," Paris, "le 10 Floreal an 8." 37 pp., folio , in French.-- Autograph notes and diagrams on the verso of a map, Map of the Middle States of North America with part of Canada , n.p., [c. 1800]. 1 p., 18 5/8 x 13¼ in. , in French.
