(8vo) 19x12cm (7½x5") rebound in polished calf with raised spine bands, gilt decorated compartments, morocco spine labels lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt. With the decorative bookplates of Sidney J. Miller Jr. Four volumes of finely bound, amusing and engrossing curiosities of the literary world. Isaac D'Israeli was a British writer, scholar and man of letters, best known for his essays, his associations with other men of letters, and as the father of British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. Lot Amendments Condition: Light wear to bindings with some rubbing to extremities, some corners lightly bumped, front board of vol. IV detached along with first few pages, but present; interiors solid; very good. Item number: 285253
