Lot of 2, including: Silver gelatin photograph of the Hunkpapa Dakota Chief Gall, 7.25 x 9.25 in., mounted in cardstock, 11 x 16 in., photograph and mount include Barry's blindstamp, plus cardstock mount's verso features printed paper stamp advertising Barry's Superior, Wisconsin studio, and an attached, illustrated biography of Chief Gall, which also includes Barry's studio imprint. Silver gelatin photograph of Brule Sioux Chief Spotted Tail, 7.75 x 10 in., mounted under cardstock, 10.75 x 16 in., photograph and mount include Barry's blindstamp, plus cardstock mount's verso features printed paper stamp advertising Barry's Superior, Wisconsin studio, and an attached, illustrated biography of Chief Spotted Tail, which also includes Barry's studio imprint. Spotted Tail, whose Lakota name was Sinte Gleska (1823-1881), served his people as a statesman and went to Washington to lobby for the rights of his people. Condition: Even toning to prints; wear to mounts.
