The Bisson brothers were amongst the very earliest photographers of Paris. Famous photographs, such as the portraits of Frédéric Chopin, are considered masterpieces of that era. Louis-Auguste, the elder of the Bisson brothers, developed on active interest in photography one year before his brother; the famous studio in Paris was founded in 1841. - The daguerreotype here is in an excellent condition and has been professionally sealed with new glass.
