Gelatin silver print (209 x 311 mm), mount signed ("Danny Lyon"), dated ("Texas 1968"), and inscribed ("book-original"), matted, framed and glazed. FIRST EDITION. WITH A VINTAGE GELATIN SILVER PRINT OF 'THE LINE' FROM THE ORIGINAL MAQUETTE OF THE BOOK, identified by Lyon in the mount as a "book-original". 'The Line' is one of the finest images in what is Lyon's "MASTERPIECE"; "Lyon's photographs must be among the most eloquent ever shot in a prison" ( The Photobook ).
