New York: The Derrydale Press, 1935 4to (12 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.; 318 x 241 mm). Numerous illustrations by Lynn Bogue Hunt and from photographs, drawings and maps; some toning, occasional spotting. Publisher's full purple morocco, spine gilt in six compartments with piscatorial devices, upper cover with gilt border with piscatorial devices, top edge gilt, pictorial endpapers by Hunt; some rubbing to extremities. In custom clamshell case. Number 3 of 56 deluxe copies. Presentation copy inscribed by Ernest Hemingway: "To Ferd Roebling | hoping he catches | a very big one | off Bimini | July 1, 1963 | Ernest Hemingway." (p. 55) In addition to Hemingway, this volume is inscribed by six other contributors⁠— including Lynn Bogue Hunt (p. 1), Van Campen Heilner (p. 97 and p. 159), and S. Kip Farrington Jr. (p. 109) —to Ferdinand "Ferd" Roebling, grandson of John A. Roebling, the builder and designer of the Brooklyn Bridge. In addition the the various inscription, present in this volume is an original signed pencil drawing of a leaping swordfish by Lynne Bogue Hunt bound in.
