(4to) 25x19 cm (10x8"), half period morocco and marbled boards, gilt ruled spine with gilt designs in compartments, gilt lettering, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. First Edition. Volume of 31 charming plates giving a fascinating insight into the London street life of the early 1800's. Each plate with its accompanying description features different types of traders in different areas of London. The book was published as a supplement to Phillips' Modern London. Scarce. Lot Amendments Condition: Wear and soiling to binding with rubbing to extremities, front hinge starting, rear board detached but present, offsetting to text pages opposite plates, light toning to plates, foxing throughout not marring illustrations; very good.
