The selection of property offered in this catalogue apparently includes items removed from Gad's Hill, which was acquired by her eldest son, Charles (see below). The sale took place at her home address, and included some books listed under lots 174-190. Among the plated articles listed in the catalogue, some are described as engraved with Dickens's monogram "C.D."
