Original blue blind-stamped diagonally ribbed cloth, spine gilt, uncut (hinges cracked, some minor rubbing). Provenance : Hon. C.F. Stuart (armorial bookplate); Alain de Suzannet (bookplate; his sale Sotheby's London, 22 November 1971, lot 70); Kenyon Starling (bookplate). FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, with the signpost reading "100£" on the vignette title and with the second issue 14-line errata. Eckel, pp. 71-73; Smith I:7.
