Dictionarium etymologicum, philologicum, phraseologicumque, omnium quæ extant locupletissimum, lacking final f., N6 tear within text without loss, [Identified as Wing G1447 on UMI "Early English books, 1641-1700"], Cambridge, John Field 1659 bound after [Gouldman (Francis)] Dictionarium historico-geographico-poeticum: in quo debitâ serie tractantur propria nomina deorum gentilium, hominum, regionum, urbium, marium, fluviorum, &c, [Wing G14457B], Cambridge, John Field 1659, together 2 works in 1 vol., some staining (ink in a few places), occasional spotting, contemporary calf, sympathetically rebacked, corners worn, rubbed, 4to *** Both works are rare with no copies in the British Isles. ESTC lists only one copy of the first (University of Illinois) and the second only two copies (Universities of Chicago and Pennsylvania). Gouldman was an English clergyman and lexicographer, who was one of the directors who oversaw the publication of the Critici sacri, a major collection of Biblical criticism.
