Contemporary mottled calf, spines gilt, morocco lettering pieces (spines with slight abrasions). FIRST EDITION. Cohen-de Ricci 303; Sander 477; Tchemerzine IV.430 -- [BERINGTON, Simon (1680-1755). Memoires de Gaudence de Luques, prisonnier de l'Inquisition ... enrichis des scavantes remarques de M. Rhedi. Translated by Milts. Amsterdam: 1753. 4 vols in 2. 8° (158 x 93mm). 4 plates and 4 vignettes engraved by Fessard. Contemporary red morocco gilt, with ARMS OF GUILLAUME II DE LAMOIGNON, Chancellor of France, [Olivier 2018 fer 1] on sides, within a dentelle border, spine gilt with two morocco labels (some minor restoration, spine faded).
