Among the disguises that the Big Bad Wolf puts on in the book is that of a Jewish pedlar, deleted from the official re-release of the famous cartoon after World War II. Mikhalkov named the unnamed Three Little Pigs in the original cartoon Nif-Nif, Nuf-Nuf and Naf-Naf.
