SIX DECADES OF RARE AND MATURE VINTAGES OF CLASSIFIED BORDEAUX, BURGUNDY, CHAMPAGNE, RHONE AND CALIFORNIA Property of a Fine Art & Fine Wine Collector Recently removed by Christie's specialists from two passive underground San Francisco cellars each maintaining 53 and 56 degrees F respectively with natural humid conditions. I visited this fine cellar over the course of three seasons to both inspect the conditions and inventory the cellar. The first time was last autumn, again over the winter and most recently, this spring to pack and ship the cellar's contents for sale in Los Angeles. On each visit the temperature was monitored and I found the conditions to be highly satisfactory for the natural cellarage of fine wines. The temperatures listed had a 1-2 degree variance over my visits in 2004-05. The cellar's humidity is excellent and can be evidenced by the above average levels of many of the lots. As this collection was extracted from a natural cellar, the state of bin soiled labels is commensurate with age and open bin storage of this kind. In each instance, label conditions have been noted for your review in each lot description. For your inspection, several selections from this outstanding collection will be available to sample at the pre-sale tasting. Scott Torrence Dom Pérignon --Vintage 1971 (1) --Vintage 1973 (1) --Vintage 1975 (3) --Vintage 1978 (3) --Vintage 1980 (1) All high fills Above 9 bottles per lot
