London: for the author and W. Simpkin and R. Marshall 1834. 5 volumes, 8 o (248 x 153 mm), 180 hand-colored engraved plates (tiny library stamp to blank portion of each plate). Contemporary cloth (some hinges cracked, plates in vol. 5 becoming loose). Provenance : Mercantile Library New York (old stamps on titles and plates). FIRST EDITION, second issue with the 1834 title-pages (originally issued in parts from 1823 to 1827), 180 hand-colored engraved plates by and after Donovan, 4pp. "Advertisement" dated Lambeth 1823 at front after title of vol. 1.
