Large 4 o ( 328 x 253 mm). 30 woodcut illustrations (3 full-page) in text by Raoul Dufy Full green morocco, spine gilt lettered by Gruel, original wrappers bound in. LIMITED EDITION, number 47 of 120 copies, SIGNED by Apollinaire and Dufy. " Le Bestiaire was Dufy's first major venture as an illustrator. Picasso had originally suggested the project to Apollinaire in 1906, but the latter turned to Dufy when Picasso abandoned the scheme" ( From Manet to Hockney 27).
