Beschreibung:

In honor of the 75th anniversary of the Dunhill Namiki partnership, this pen is decorated in maki-e with detailed renderings of Japanese cherry blossoms and English roses. This pen is an eyedropper filled Japanese safety pen, and has a medium nib. To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of their liaison, Alfred Dunhill Ltd released one of the most beautiful pens in the line’s history: the Alfred Dunhill-Namiki Sakura-Rose. This exquisite instrument, designed by Maki-e master Kyusai Yoshida, represents the pinnacle of Alfred Dunhill-Namiki development. The pen’s cap bears a spray of cherry blossoms in pink, above an array of golden roses on the body. The gold trim at the bottom of the cap is inscribed with the ‘torii’ logo based on Shinto Temple architecture and used by the Namiki Manufacturing Company in 1930s, and the legend ‘1930-2005’. Issued in strictly limited numbers, the Alfred Dunhill-Namiki Sakura-Rose is finished using the most complex and lavish level of Maki-e employed by Alfred Dunhill: Grade A, signifying all-over lacquering of the most detailed variety. Its dimensions assure its imposing presence and it is fitted with an 18k gold nib engraved with the name Dunhill-Namiki. Limited edition, number 2 of 25, with complete packaging and papers.
