Each with 8 1/4 inch octagonal brown twist barrel in .60 caliber smoothbore. Top flats with gilt riband framed by leafy branches and inscribed Warranted. Silver fore-sights. Undersides with Birmingham view and proof marks, maker mark IP and stamped Damascus. Patent breeches engraved with a spray of plumes and inlaid with two gold and one platinum band. Platinum-lined touch holes. Sighted tangs deeply engraved with florals and scrolls. Detented locks equipped with half-cock safeties, waterproof pans, platinum-lined pans and roller-mounted springs. Lockplates signed Gribble/Barum, the plates and cocks engraved with florals and scrolls. Adjustable triggers. Steel spur triggerguards with pineapple finials and deeply engraved with scrollwork and leafage borders. Walnut half-stocks with finely checkered grips. The barrel trough with two silver reinforcing plates, one at the front of the lock and the other to the left of the breech, the visible parts engraved with leafage borders. Silver fore-end caps, wedge escutcheons, wrist escutcheons and lion mask pommel caps. Stocks inlaid opposite the locks and around the barrel tangs with silver tendrils, engraved leaves and blossoms. Engraved screwheads and cups. Ebonzied ramrods with elephant ivory tips. Complete with original brass-bound case, the lid with folding circular handles. Green baize-lined interior. Accessories include red leather-covered two cavity flask, loading/cleaning rod, spring vise, bullet mold and key. Condition: Fine. Barrels retain much thin Damascus finish. Locks and triggerguards with some very minor pitting. Excellent wood with few light blemishes. Exterior of case with light dents and bruises. Case possibly relined. Accessories very good to fine.
