Mid-20th century copy black-and-white photograph of two older men. Verso with manuscript note: W.A. Graham - E.A. Brininstol [sic] with photographer's stamp of Wathen, Louisville, KY, 1976. The original photograph was probably taken about 1950. W.A. (William Alexander Graham (1875-1954) was a lawyer, army officer and writer. He is best known for The Custer Myth. E.A. (Earl Alonzo) Brininstool (1870-1957) is known as one of the 20th century's "cowboy poets." Among his books are: Troopers with Custer, My People the Sioux, Jim Bridger, Fighting Indian Warriors, The Bozeman Trail, Trail Dust of a Maverick, and more. Also included is a stereoview on L.A. Huffman's Yellowstone Scenery and Indian Views card with "194 - a Sioux Warrior's Grave" showing a platform burial. Condition: Photo excellent. Stereoview slightly dark with some handling wear and residue on verso from a photo album.
