(Edward Gordon) Autograph Letter signed & Typed letter signed to Allan Wade, 2pp. & 1 envelope, The Page, Published at the Sign of the Rose, Hackbridge, Surrey, 9th January 1900 & Paris, on his magazine, The Page, "The 4th number of the Page has been delayed through the curious nature of the printer. Printers are as bad as domestic servants. I need say no more. Your copy will be sent off as soon as ready & I think you will find it a good number when it does come. It is the last I shall publish for some time", and on his memoirs, "About the W.B. Yeats' letters. I am afraid that, when my publishers bring out my memoirs, they will not be pleased if I have to tell them that I have already given the letters to somebody else", first mentioned small tear in lower corner not affecting text, slightly creased (2). *** Allan Wade (1881-1955), actor, theatre director and writer; secretary, assistant and play reader to Granville Barker.
