Racer) nearly extremely fine £250-300 Footnote 91 medals with clasp for Gemaizah issued to Racer, together with 30 clasps to earlier medals. John Wavell was born at Launceston on 29 May 1857, and joined as a Boy 2nd Class on 1 January 1873. He served aboard Racer from August 1885 to May 1889, and was invalided to Portsmouth on 2 October 1891 (ADM 158/36).
