1. Re-issue of the 1728 & 1741 Rotterdam ed. (same collation and fingerprint) of a treatise on cats in Ancient Egypt (1st 1726) by Moncrif (1668-1770). It is a “parody of owlishly pedantic scholarship” (Wikipedia). Ill. with 2 folding and 8 full-page engrs by T. Otten (most probably lacking the "Tableau généalogique de l'illustre maison de Brinbelle" - no copy of this ed. has been found by us). Ref. BL (1). Not in BnF, STCN. - 2. Rare French trsl. of “Comische Erzählungen” (1765), i.a. “Endymion”, of the German Rococo author Wieland (1733-1813). Engr. headpc. by Du Menil. Ref. Conlon 71:1457. Not in BL. - 3.
