Large 8vos. Eight plays, printed on heavy rag paper, each in original printed wrappers, two custom quarter morocco slipcases. First editions of the complete plays of Bridges. Robert Bridges, who became poet laureate in 1913, was one of the founders of the Society for Pure English, many of whose tracts he wrote or edited. He was also closely associated with the Oxford University Press, whom he advised on matters of style, grammar and typography. Lot Amendments Condition: Minor wear to wrappers, occasional foxing within, slipcases slightly rubbed; very good. Item number: 253122
