Faint nick to lower edge of upper cover, slipcase with light shelfwear. Limited edition, number 25 of 26 specially bound presentation copies, signed and inscribed to Clifford Roberts on the limitation page, and with signed D-Day order bound in. Eisenhower writes, “For Cliff Roberts / With best wishes and lasting regard from his devoted friend / Ike Eisenhower." Roberts met Eisenhower for the first time in April of 1948 when the latter was a guest at the Augusta National Golf Club. By the end of the year, not only was Eisenhower a member of the club, but Roberts was a trusted advisor to the General, and the recipient of one of the 26 specially bound copies of Eisenhower’s World War II memoir.
