Document signed ('Elizabeth R'), a warrant addressed to Sir Thomas Henneage, Treasurer of her Chamber, referring to Richard Mondaye to whom she has given the room of one of the grooms of her Buckhounds 'which rome Thomas Mondaye late deceased had and enjoyed with the wages and fee of six poundes thirteen shillings and foure pence by the year during his natural life' and granting also that he 'shall yearly have and enjoye the allowance of eight pounds foure shillings and ten pence for his sommer and winter lyveries', which Sir Thomas is to pay him quarterly, 'Given under our signett at o . Castell of Windesore the xxvi daye of September in the xxviiith year of Raign 1586', signed by the Queen at the head, and countersigned by James ..., manuscript in brown ink on vellum, one page, 248 x 290mm , fragment of white silk in inner margin, traces of red wax seal, contemporary annotation on verso (light soiling).
